Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) is a technology which allow asphalt mixtures being produced and applied at a temperature around 20 – 40 °C lower than an equivalent Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
A Sustainable Concept:
- Less energy used.
- Less paving costs.
- Lower emissions.
- Lower fumes, safer working conditions.
- Improve life expectancy: Reduce impact of temperature on the bitumen. Less production temperature and minimizing aging process.
- Quicker open to traffic, wider application window.
- Compatible with RAP.
There are several techniques to achieve this goal one of them is the use of chemical additives.
DANOX WM additive improves mixture workability without changing bitumen viscosity. DANOX WM allows reduced temperatures in production, laydown and compaction, keeping performance of conventional HMA.
DANOX WM Main advantages:
- No special equipment needed.
- No negative impact at low temperature.
- Without changing bitumen rheology.
- Easy additivation to all type of binders.
- Recommened dosage 0.3-0.5 %.
